Lissone (Monza e Brianza) – “With what you have done, you have shattered our dream: you have taken away the equipment with which we made thousands of people dance. We beg you to give us back those instruments.” This is the appeal that the autistic and Down syndrome boys of the AutPop project launch to the person (or people) who today, Monday, September 11, raided the trunk of one of the teachers’ cars in the DJ course where “special” DJs perform.

“The teacher had stopped in Lissone for lunch – explains Melissa La Scala, one of the mothers behind this project -. When he came out, he called me to announce that the lesson was canceled. They had stolen all the equipment he had in the car. That equipment with which our boys have fun and have shown to be extraordinary even at the DJ console. The thieves had stolen the speakers, the equalizer, the microphone, the computer, and two consoles. It was not easy to tell the boys who were eagerly waiting to resume the lessons.”

How to explain to these DJs who had fun and made many people enjoy themselves at the Boschetti Reali on Sunday night of the Grand Prix that their dream would have to be interrupted? But they did not get demoralized. On the contrary, they decided to appeal to the thieves. “Put your hand on your conscience and give us back the console and the instruments: we want to have fun again and make people dance.” The AutPop project, born for the 2023 Grand Prix, will continue in the future with the organization of other events and great musical moments in the city.
