Busto Arsizio – Ettore Mazzucchelli, owner of the pharmacy of the same name in Busto Arsizio, did not empty cards intended for people with celiac disease to purchase specific products, nor did he abuse the Pin codes left in good faith by customers. On the contrary, he provided a service.
Unfounded accusations
The investigation that “exploded” in April 2021 ended today, Thursday, May 23, with the acquittal of the pharmacist “because the fact does not exist” before the judges of the Court of Appeal of Milan, who overturned the first instance judgment (issued by the Gup of Busto Stefano Colombo) that had seen the professional sentenced to six months. And indeed, lawyer Cesare Cicorella, defender of Mazzucchelli, had immediately spoken of “unfounded accusations resulting from an error”. And the judges agreed with him. “From the beginning, we have shown that an activity that invoices several hundred thousand euros a year could compromise itself for a few hundred euros,” explains Cicorella. “In addition, there is the impeccable reputation of my client and his family. Mistakes happen, this is one of those cases, we are comforted by the fact that a judge has recognized it by restoring the truth. The accusation of fraud, which was the main one in the accusation, has completely fallen with complete acquittal”.
No fraud
According to the accusation, the pharmacy would have emptied the pre-paid cards from the public health service intended for those suffering from celiac disease to purchase specific products. None of this ever happened according to the Milanese court. And in any case, in Busto no one has ever doubted the honesty of Mazzucchelli, given the commitment towards others of the family, given the reputation, given the way of approaching others.
