Voghera – A sober but full of affection ceremony was held in honor of a Sister who has given so much to the C.R.I. Committee of Voghera. Thus, at the administrative headquarters of the organization, in via Carlo Emanuele, Sister Luigia Rosa Arrigoni was remembered by dedicating the Red Cross Nurses Inspectorate to her, with the following motivation: “To thank her for all the work and affection she has shown towards the Red Cross, for being the “teacher” of many Sisters, for her work at the national level and for also being a regional inspector”. After the blessing by Mons. Marco Daniele, the plaque was unveiled by regional inspector Sister Ornella Zagami and the President of the Committee Chiara Fantin. Also present, in addition to Sister Arrigoni’s niece, were Sister Tettamanti, the Inspector of Como, Sister Arti, the reference to the Regional School for II.VV., many Sisters and Students, as well as C.R.I. Volunteers, the Guards of Honor at the royal tombs of the Pantheon, the Cavalry Corps with representation from the Sacred Temple, the Alpine Corps section of Voghera, Giuseppina Bellinzona Beccari representing the Beccari Historical Museum, a representation of the C.R.I. Military Corps, the Councilor for Social Services of the Municipality of Voghera Federico Taverna, and Councilor Giuseppe Carbone.
In the courses hall, a permanent showcase was set up on the right side, containing objects belonging to Sister Arrigoni, which had arrived at the inspectorate. A shelf dedicated to the first Captain of the C.R.I. Military Corps, Paolo Ghiacci, was also set up, and his uncles (the parents of Don Luca Ghiacci, the parish priest of Casteggio) were present and donated his C.R.I. objects in his memory.
After the official part, the attendees were offered an aperitif offered by Hygge Bar, which wanted to contribute to remembering the Volunteers, once again demonstrating their support for the C.R.I. Committee of Voghera.
