In the early morning of August 15th, 2023, the lifeless body of a man was found in the Preda Rossa area of Valbiore in Val Masino. According to the initial information received, the victim, a 55-year-old resident of Mariano Comense, had gone out to search for mushrooms but did not return, so an alarm was raised. The search began last night and the discovery was made this morning around 6 am. Unfortunately, the rescue teams could only confirm his death.
On Legnone
Another death occurred on Legnone, in the municipality of Piantedo. The details of the unfortunate person are not yet known. In this case as well, the discovery was made at dawn at a high altitude, but the efforts of the Alpine Rescue, Firefighters, 118 emergency medical services, and law enforcement were in vain: the man died on the spot.
