BUSTO ARSIZIO – Gioacchino Fera, 53 years old, a nurse from Varese, Giuseppe Santuccione, from Cepagatti in the province of Pescara, and Andrea Luraschi, 34 years old, from Venegono Superiore, an architect, remain in prison. They are accused of scamming over one million euros from two women who were defined as lonely and psychologically fragile by the investigators.

The arrests were carried out by the military police of Varese, following a court order for their detention requested by the public prosecutor Ciro Caramore, who coordinated the investigation.

They remain in prison. The judge of Busto, Stefano Colombo, rejected the requests for release or, alternatively, for a reduction of the precautionary measure, presented after the guarantee interrogation that concluded on Thursday, August 31st. During the interrogation, Santuccione, who was heard through a rogatory (he was arrested in the province of Pescara where he resides), denied all charges. Fera and Luraschi, who were questioned in the Busto court, gave spontaneous statements in order to give their version of the events.

The statements of the suspects. The two did not deny that they received money, but specified that the money was voluntarily offered by the alleged victims. According to them, in summary, there was no scam, no manipulative or violent behavior in order to obtain money.
