TRENORD: “ISEO-EDOLO REMAINS CLOSED”
We’re starting again, or rather not. The announced restoration of train circulation along the entire Brescia-Edolo route, scheduled for tomorrow, September 25th, after the well-known events related to the Niardo flood last year, will not happen. Trenord announced it, just a few days after the statement that predicted better times for the users. Trenord explains that the cause of the sudden U-turn can be found in the accident that occurred this Thursday, where a heavy vehicle fell from SP 510, affecting the underlying railway line.
“Trains are missing in the north”
“Even in the coming days – it reads – circulation between Pisogne and Marone-Zone will remain suspended, to allow technicians to restore the infrastructure. Between Pisogne and Marone-Zone, the service will continue to be provided by replacement buses. The lack of a sufficient number of trains north of the interruption prevents the reactivation, as planned, of train circulation up to Edolo and requires a reshaping of the service on the line from Monday 25th”.
The reshaping
So, this is how we will travel. Trains will run regularly along two routes, namely Brescia-Marone and Pisogne-Breno.
Between Breno and Edolo, as well as between Marone and Pisogne, instead, circulation will be guaranteed by replacement buses.
The restoration of circulation on the entire Brescia-Iseo-Edolo route will only be possible once the interruption between Pisogne and Marone is resolved. Further details on train and bus schedules and updates on changes will be published on trenord.it and the App.
