Alessandro Limido, leader of the Do.ra. and journalist Paolo Berizzi

VARESE – The GUP of the Varese Court has indicted Alessandro Limido, leader of the Do.Ra. (Militant Community of the Twelve Rays). The far-right group staged a sort of “street trial” in March 2022 with Paolo Berizzi as the defendant, a journalist from Repubblica who had attended an event promoted by Anpi in Azzate to present his book.

Indictment

On that occasion, while the journalist was meeting the public at the Pro loco headquarters, the Do.Ra. had set up a stage in Piazza della Pesa, displaying banners and a cardboard cutout of Berizzi, who has often addressed the group and, more generally, the phenomena of neo-fascism in Italy in his investigations. Questions were directed at the “silhouette” of Berizzi in a sort of trial, with photos and videos later spread on Telegram. But now Limido will have to face a real trial, not on the streets but in a courtroom: the hearing is scheduled for September 2024.
