Castano Primo – Anas has responded to the letter sent on December 12th by the mayor of Castano Primo, Giuseppe Pignatiello, to inquire about the duration of the closure of the Castano Sud-Buscate Nord exit ramp on the SS 336 (in the photo). And it is a response that will not please many.
“Possible to shorten the time”
“In November – Pignatiello recalls, citing what was communicated to him by Anas – an abnormal shift was detected, resulting in a loss of support, at the multidirectional support on the Ticino side (North side of the highway) and therefore we activated the closure of the ramp from the Boffalora-Malpensa highway, towards Castano and Turbigo. From here, the first safety work was carried out, simultaneously preparing the project for the final restoration intervention, including the construction of counter brackets on the pillar and shoulders, the lifting of the deck and the replacement of the existing supports while maintaining the constraint scheme.
“Now Anas has responded to the request for information that the municipality sent in recent days. And here the completion of the work is scheduled to be delivered in 75 days. During the construction sites, however – adds the mayor of Castano – the possibility of shortening these times and anticipating the reopening of the ramp to traffic will be evaluated.”
Disruptions destined to continue
As already observed by the mayor himself, the closure of the Castano Primo Sud exit ramp towards Malpensa and the A8 is causing significant disruptions to traffic, particularly to nearby commercial and productive activities, as well as to students heading to the “Giuseppe Tomo” institute and residents of the area.
