SARONNO – CERIANO LAGHETTO – “Is it possible that no one notices the need to maintain cleanliness and decorum? It would take so little.” These are the words of a resident of Saronno who, with a report, brings attention back to the problem of abandoned waste along the outer ring road that connects Saronno, Ceriano Laghetto, Solaro, and Rovello Porro. Just driving along this long connecting artery, one can notice bags and garbage of all kinds between the road and the guardrail. But waste also reigns beyond the barrier, in the middle of the fields. The resident denounces the presence of a real landfill within a small wooded area. As the photos shared by our reader show, “there are dozens of black garbage bags placed one on top of the other to create a sort of wall.” But that’s not all. There are also half-open grocery bags with empty bottles inside, remnants of fast food consumption, or food containers. Many bags are even open with scattered waste on the ground. “It is a situation of degradation that continues to grow. Is it possible that no one intervenes?” asks the resident who reported the issue to our newspaper. This is not the first time that a complaint has been made about the situation on the outer ring road, which, being located in a border area between different municipalities, different provinces, and therefore with different responsibilities, ends up being forgotten or with significantly long intervention times, especially in terms of cleanliness and urban decorum.
