Pietro Fiocchi: “The mother of vandals and graffiti artists is always pregnant”.
We publish a note from the MEP Pietro Fiocchi from Lecco following an act of vandalism on a poster denouncing the euro-follies dictated by the majority in the European Commission.
“While farmers claim their right to exist and say enough to the fanaticism and euro-follies dictated by the fundamentalist red-green Taliban who are the majority in the Commission in Europe, the usual vandals with spray cans make themselves known. These useless idiots, in a vile manner at night, have defaced one of my posters in the municipality of Pescate that criticized the eco-follies and the militants of the “latest generation” with insults towards my party and me. If they think in any way that they can influence my actions and my thoughts, they will achieve the exact opposite.” These are the statements made by the MEP Pietro Fiocchi of Brothers of Italy.
“Too many acts of vandalism go unpunished, in the sense that the culprits are often not identified and reported, unless, as the militants of the “latest generation” blatantly do, they block traffic or deface works of art and monuments. To address this phenomenon, the government has enacted measures and sanctions for those who commit this crime. As for me, concludes Fiocchi, I will file a complaint against unknown individuals, even though I presume they are the “usual suspects” who evidently have nothing better to do than engage in verbal and political violence in disregard of the laws and civilized coexistence. Finally, I am grateful to the Mayor of Pescate, Dante De Capitani, for his solidarity expressed towards me, and I publicly thank him.”
