Pietro Fiocchi: “The mother of vandals and graffiti artists is always pregnant.”
We publish a note from the European Parliament Member Pietro Fiocchi from Lecco following an act of vandalism carried out on a poster denouncing the Euro-follies dictated by the majority present in the European Commission.
“While farmers claim their right to exist and say enough to the fanaticism and Euro-follies dictated by the red-green fundamentalist Taliban who are the majority in the Commission in Europe, the usual vandals with spray cans make themselves known. These useless idiots, in a vile manner during the night, have become protagonists in the Municipality of Pescate by defacing one of my posters that criticized the eco-follies and the militants of the “last generation” with insults towards my party and myself. If they think they can somehow influence my actions and my thoughts, they will achieve the exact opposite.” These are the statements made by the European Parliament Member Pietro Fiocchi from Lecco of the Brothers of Italy party.
“Too many acts of vandalism remain unpunished in the sense that often the responsible individuals are not identified and reported, unless, as the militants of the “last generation” blatantly do, they block traffic or deface artworks and monuments. To tackle this phenomenon, the Government has implemented measures and sanctions for those who commit this crime. As far as I am concerned, Fiocchi concludes, I will file a complaint against unknown individuals, even though I presume they are the “usual suspects” who evidently find nothing better to do than to resort to verbal and political violence in contempt of the laws and civil coexistence. Finally, I am grateful to the Mayor of Pescate, Dante De Capitani, for the solidarity expressed towards me, and I publicly thank him.”
