Oggiona con Santo Stefano – “There is no prevention, let alone maintenance. Not to scavenge, but it is evident that in two years the municipal administration has never intervened on the roads.” This is the attack launched by the Lega of Oggiona con Santo Stefano, which has taken advantage of these rainy days to shed light on the condition of the streets in the town: “It’s true that the bad weather has certainly worsened the situation, but here the roads are like a Swiss cheese.”

No discounts

Speaking for the local section of the Carroccio is the secretary Silvano Sasso. Who doesn’t give discounts: “In two years, the municipal administration has done nothing for the roads.” The last reports, he adds, date back to mid-February and appeared on social media: “This is not how the Municipality should intervene: where is the territorial control?” And he adds: “In the meantime, they haven’t even shown up in some cases: the same potholes were present in several points of the town even after the rains. They didn’t even bother to check what the critical issues were. And now they have worsened.”

The roads

The bad weather, Sasso continues, highlights the problems of the roads: “During the election campaign, they said they wouldn’t wait until the last months for road maintenance. But after some time there are still no interventions in this sense: just some patching up without constant monitoring.” Among the examples reported as priorities for intervention, the local secretary of the Lega recalls: the road to Cedrate, the road to Solbiate, via San Severo and the industrial area (“Places frequented especially by workers, so there is a risk of causing damage to companies”) and “Oggiona in general”.
