GERMIGNAGA – Disposing of the wastewater treatment plant of Porto Valtravaglia-Trigo and connecting the sewer system to the Luino-Voldomino plant: this is the goal of the works started by Alfa last year aimed at solving a heavy EU infringement burdening the territory.
After the completion of “phase one”, with the laying of about three kilometers of pipes and the restoration of the road surface and ordinary traffic in the stretch from Porto Valtravaglia to Germignaga, we have now moved on to “phase two”.
Starting from the Luino wastewater treatment plant, the works currently involve the Municipality of Germignaga, where – in Bellini and Verdi streets, in the Premaggi area – the laying of the new sewer pipeline is underway.
“We expect to close the construction site within three months – explains Nicola Di Stefano, in the technical direction of Alfa – Obviously, we also have to take into account the weather conditions that could greatly slow down the execution of the works.” Mayor of Germignaga Marco Fazio is also satisfied: “With Alfa we are in constant contact and we are collaborating to minimize the inconvenience to the citizens. However, I thank all the people of Germignaga for their support and understanding”.
